What is the difference between a water massage bath and a spa, and when are Lait de Balneo or Velours de Spa to be used?
It’s very easy: if the bath is drained after every use, it’s a water massage bath; if the water stays in the bath for a log time, and it is filtered like in a swimming pool, it’s a spa. Our products for balneo or spa are designed to be used according to the restriction applicable to any of the two kinds of bath; therefore, the product designed for a water massage bath cannot be used in a spa, and vice versa.

Is Lait de balneo the only product suitable for use in water massage baths?
Definitely. We are witnessing a positive trend in the market of water massage baths: over the last two years sales have boomed, and baths of this kind are replacing our traditional baths both in newly built houses, and in bathrooms undergoing refurbishment works. As far as cosmetics are concerned, consumers do not find the products they need on the market.
In fact, commonly used products are bath oils or bath salts, or even pure essential oils.
Bath oils are fat-based oils, obtained by mixing essential oils with a neutral oil, such as sweet almond oil, jojoba oil, apricot stone oil, and so on. These are usually high quality products, but, when used in balneotherapy, they often leave a deposit that inevitably blocks the injection nozzles in the bath.
Bath salts are beautiful to watch and can be fun. Nevertheless, the crystals they are made of are not ideal either for the injection systems of baths. Another thing to bear in mind, is that bath salts do not always have real active principles.
There are still a lot of people who use pure essential oils in their water massage baths, something to be absolutely avoided. In fact, essential oils stay on the surface and they come into direct contact with the skin, which can cause a series of problems: skin reactions, allergies, rashes, etc...
LAIT DE BALNEO is obtained through a manufacturing method that we keep secret here at Camylle laboratories. Perfectly soluble in water, it allows plant molecules to have their positive effect on every part of your body that is soaked in a healthy bubble bath. With its high concentration of essential oils, it will turn your bath into a real well-being treatment at home.
