Our
experience
We process essential oils from their purest, 100% natural
form to make it possible to use them in saunas, steam baths,
water massage baths and spas.
It is true that essential oils, naturally secreted by plants,
are not soluble in water, and direct contact with the skin
should be avoided.
As a consequence, it is necessary to meet some important technical
requirements in order to use them:
- in saunas, essential oils must not carbonize when water
is poured onto the hot lava stones – and this is what
happens when you pour some drops of pure essential oil onto
the bucket that you use in the sauna;
- steam baths products must not be aggressive on working surfaces,
and, most importantly, they must not contain alcohol and they
must be stable over time;
- in spas, they must be 100% volatile in order not to leave
traces on the filtration system, without interfering with
any disinfection technique used;
- in the baths used for water massage baths, oily substances
should not be used for hygienic or technical reasons.
Camylle laboratories have developed four ranges of products
that meet all these technical requirements; their names are
highly evocative: Brume
de Hammam, Voile
de Sauna, Lait
de Balneo, Velours de
Spa – they sound like a real invitation to well-being,
thanks to the active vegetal principles renowned for their
invigorating, energising, slimming, and soothing qualities.
30 years of history...
Study, understand, create and adapt...Bernard Massing,
founder of the Madislor
business, has been working since 1976 to design innovative
products for the beauty industry.
His passion for perfumed essences for saunas led, in the early
’90s, to the creation of the Saunafragrance
range, made from rigorously selected essential oils.
Soon after, he started to work on steam baths products
and, in 1992, after more than two years of study and several
thousand samples and tests, he discovered a special process
for emulsifying essential oils in an aqueous base.
This research led to the Hammamfragrance
range, which did away with the two major faults of the products
used in steam baths:
. The lack of stability of the products, which meant that
the pump sucked in active constituents in successive layers
. The blockage of the diffusion system due, on the one hand,
to the abovementioned problem, and, on the other hand, to
the high viscosity of the products.Since then, the leading
thalassotherapy centres, the most prestigious luxury hotels,
as well as other clients who have tried it, have stayed
loyal to Hammamfragrance.
Following the success of this range of products, Bernard
Massing adopted this revolutionary emulsion process to obtain
a milky essential oil
base used to make a range of fragrances to be used in baths
for balneotherapy.
In balneotherapy,
the products used before Mr Massing’s innovative finding
were mainly fat-based bath oils, which are not ideal as
they leave a deposit that inevitably blocks the injection
nozzles in the bath.
The company's long-standing expertise has led to the development
of a range of cleaning
products for saunas, steam baths, water massage baths and
solariums, which are ideal for use in these particularly
sensitive environments. The Sterylane range comprises, nowadays,
all these disinfectant products.
2005 was the year that positively marked the life of the
company, with the launch of the Camylle brand, comprising
the Voile de Sauna, Brume de Hammam, Lait de Balnéo
and Velours de Spa ranges.
